Edith Newton BAppSc (Occupational Therapy) MOHS Management (UTS) 

Edith Newton is currently the Work Health Safety and Injury Management Officer for the NSW Office of Environment & Heritage in the NSW Department of Premier & Cabinet.

Edith Newton holds a B App Sc (Occupational Therapy) and a Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety Management from the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS).

Her past experience has been in a variety of positions as an Occupational Therapist in various clinical (hospital and community) settings and as a Rehabilitation Consultant/Occupational Therapist, Commonwealth Rehabilitation Services (CRS) Australia.

In her current role, Edith Newton works as a Work Health Safety & Injury Management Officer for the NSW Office of Environment & Heritage (OEH). Her role involves managing health, safety and injury management matters for OEH staff, including the development of guidelines for staff on managing tick-related health issues in the workplace. OEH encompasses the National Parks and Wildlife Service, and provides corporate services to the Botanic Gardens Domain Trust and the Environmental Protection Authority.
